Nantucket Historical Association Holiday Festivals

The Festival of Wreaths and The Festival of Trees are highly anticipated Nantucket traditions that transform the Whaling Museum into a winter wonderland. To keep visitors safe this year you will need to book a viewing time before visiting.

Festival of Trees

Holiday trees crafted and designed by local businesses, non-profit organizations, artists, and children are featured throughout the museum. It is through their creativity that this special event is possible.

Friday, November 27–Thursday, December 31 (closed Christmas Day).

Festival of Wreaths

Beautiful wreaths crafted by local businesses and organizations are displayed during the week of Thanksgiving. In a silent auction, visitors can bid on their favorite wreaths. The proceeds from the auction go towards NHA outreach programs. Whether you are bidding or not, the Festival of Wreaths is a spectacular event that showcases the creativity and spirit of Nantucket residents.

Thursday, November 12–Saturday, November 21. 
On display in the Whaling Museum McCausland Gallery.
Open during Whaling Museum hours, Monday-Saturday (closed Sunday), 10am-4pm.
