My love for Nantucket began in the early 1980’s when I was introduced to the island by my aunt and uncle who owned a summer home here. While attending college at Seton Hall University I would often visit with them in their New Jersey home and they would always say, come and stay with us in Nantucket in the summer! They owned a beautiful home in Dionis and would spend every summer on island. But living and growing up at the shore in New Jersey I thought, I’m at the beach already, why go to Nantucket? Well, I finally took them up on their offer and am I glad I did! After that first trip in the summer of 1985, I would visit with them every summer until they sold that summer home in the mid 1990’s. But each time I visited, I fell deeply in love with all the island has to offer.
My career in real estate began right out of college working for my father’s firm in Southern New Jersey where I worked as a sales associate and eventually manager. After working together for 10 years I moved to Northern New Jersey to oversee education initiatives for a 100-office real estate organization with offices in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. I took on other roles in the real estate industry during this time and in 2009 I began working for Sotheby’s International Realty as a Vice President of Affiliate Services covering the northeastern United States and Canada. The Maury People Sotheby’s International Realty was one of the offices I served and it brought me back to the island after an absence of over 10 years. It didn’t take too long for my wife and I to purchase a home here and each year we spend more and more time at our “happy place”!
